Have a few questions on our pet sitting policies? Here is an abbreviated version of the information you will receive
when Happy Valley Pet Sitting cares for your furry friends. Any questions - call us at 602.377.3675
Visit times. Pet Sitting visits are available 7 days a week beginning at
8:00 am. The latest regular visits are scheduled for 6:00 pm, although bedtime
visits are available for $10 more until 10:00 pm. We will
visit your pet at the requested times as closely as possible. However, if we are caring
for multiple pets, the times may be shifted a little to accommodate all our
clients. We will do our very best to arrive at the appointed times.
Vacation Plan. This
type of service, designed for vacations and business trips, has a beginning and
an end date. Each visit is 30 minutes and your fur baby is fed, water changed,
petted and adored. We are also happy to walk your dog, toss toys around in the
yard, or let them go for a swim. Your options are:
Once
a Day Visits: Once a day visits are for cats, birds, fish,
hamsters, rabbits, and other small caged pets and are visited at approximately the same time
each day
Twice a Day: Twice daily visits is the minimum number of daily visits
for dogs and it is available for all pets
Quick
Checks: Available by request, when twice Daily Visits or Overnights are scheduled, for
those dogs that need a mid-day potty break between the morning and evening
visits, the optional Quick Check is available. Quick Check
is an abbreviated version of the regular visits, lasting approximately 10-15
minutes.
In addition to the daily pet care, this plan includes the
‘xtras’ pick-up mail and newspapers, water plants or garden, daily clean-up (scoop yard/litter box), cage
cleaning, lights and TV/radio turned off in the morning and on at night (twice
daily visits), fill outside bird feeders, and set out trash on collection day.
If there is something else you need, just ask! You also have the option of
having a crock pot dinner available on your return day at no charge if you have
the ingredients and $20 if you want one of our specialties.
Daily Plan. This type
of visit will occur Monday though Friday between 11:00am and 4:00pm and is
designed for dog walking, and mid-day meals, or potty breaks. This service is
very beneficial to pets whose owners are unable to perform mid-day care tasks
due to work schedules. Of course, HVPS must have client’s
key on file for daily visits.
READY Key SERVICE. HVPS will obtain two house keys during the initial visit, when service
is scheduled, and agreements are signed. It is recommended your key remain in our
file for convenience for future use of our service and to enable telephone or
internet reservations, thus avoiding future key pick up charges. Keys are kept
in a secured lock system and are coded for our client’s confidentiality. If you
choose not to have us retain a key, picking up and returning your keys requires
two extra trips and there will be a $10 charge per trip. A second option for
key return is via certified mail for $5. If you lock yourself out - don't call the locksmith - call us and for a regular pet sit fee we will gladly come over and let you in. Ready Key Service is required for regularly scheduled Daily Visits.
Holidays:Holiday seasons are hectic for everyone – make your
reservations early! There is an additional fee of $10 charged on these
holidays: New Years Eve, New Years Day, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
Cancellations. We
understand your plans may change and we generally do not charge for
cancellations with adequate notice and any deposit will be credited to your
account. However, if you cancel 72 hours or less in advance of your scheduled
service period, a fee of 50% of the total service fee is applied.
Holiday Cancellations. Please understand that pet
sitting services receive more requests for reservations than they can handle
during the above holiday time periods and we may have turned away other clients
because we have reserved time for you and your fur baby during a busy season.
If you cancel seven days or less before any holiday, you will be charged for
half of the visits. We will make an exception for severe weather, life
threatening emergencies, or a death in the family.
