Who is your fearless pack leader Kirby?

I am a 3-year old red (very rare!) Beagle who loves to get into mischief, including but not limited to, the trash can, Kleenex, and anything underneath the bathroom sink. Did I mention I also will sneak a sip of lemonade, and my favorite Pepsi, whenever my humans have their back turned? I sure keep them on their toes! I am a pooch alarm clock and wake them up promptly at 7:00am for my breakfast and morning ear rub. I sure have them trained! Now if I can just get them to make me steak...

I must have hit the snooze button or something, because I am suppose to write my blog at the beginning of the month ~ how is it already the 23rd?!? So much has been going on lately, where do I start? First, I have been having to share my momma with Dr. Boogie ~ he is that Pointing Griffon puppy on here. I like him, but he chews everything (he chewed 2 pairs of mama's shoes and got into troouuubblllee. After we go for walks he waits for momma to take off her socks & he steals them so he can take a nap on them ~ yucky! they are smelly! Momma started her own blog at blog.happyvalleypetsitting.com and puts all sorts of articles on there. I try to ready it daily so I can learn a lot. :) School started and I have so much fun going for walks & hearing all the little kids laughing & playing. I'm a good boy and let the little ones pet me too. They love my big floppy ears...they don't know that I am just letting them get close so I can see if they have any crumbs on them I can lick off. All this writing makes my paws hurt so I am going to go take my 7th nap for today ~ I try to take at least 20 ~ I am behind schedule!

I can't believe my momma took a picture of me napping in the blankets...can't a pooch get any privacy around here? There's been lots going on around my house lately - but sadly only one walk a week - I need to read my contract because I am pretty sure it states I am suppose to get a walk everyday! So proud of my momma and this great website - but did she have to put up my puppy pictures for everyone to see? Sebastian the cat has been a little crazy lately...drinking out of my water bowl and howling all night. He is suppose to be on indoor insect duty and he hasn't been doing his job lately - he is getting in trouubbblleee. My job is to cuddle mom's toes when she's sleeping...that's easy! It's one of my favorite things to do. My nose smells something cooking in the kitchen..off to investigate. Kirby-licisous

I have been whining and whining to go on a walk and finally my Mommy listened today. I was so excited, I couldn't stop howling. The front door opens and my nose is smelling the clean air, then it is picks up the scent of Sparky down the street, I smell Marley too...I just love my nose. We walk all around my neighborhood and I water my favorite hydrant...and then...don't tell anyone... I start to get a little tuckered out. My mommy brings me home and I pass out on the cold tile and know I need to get into better shape to impress Fluffy down the street. I must be dog-gone tired, because I don't have any energy to annoy Sebastian the cat. More on him later...Kirby
